Speaking at RAREsummit26: An overview of the Bridging the Gap initiative

On Wednesday 7th October, On The Pulse Director Laurence Woollard will be speaking at RAREsummit26, hosted by CamRARE at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridge.

Laurence will be joined by Dr Richard Gorman, Assistant Professor in Ethics and Social Science at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, to share findings from the Bridging the Gap initiative. This Midlands-wide NHS service evaluation explored treatment information needs among people living with inherited bleeding disorders across haemophilia comprehensive care centres in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham.

The presentation follows the recent showcasing of insights from Bridging the Gap through a poster abstract at the ISTH 2026 Congress in Paris and provides another valuable opportunity to disseminate the findings and recommendations – this time among UK-based rare disease stakeholders.

Laurence and Rich will present on the main stage from 11:15–11:40. The full RAREsummit26 programme is available here.
