Bloodstream is a free monthly podcast for and about the bleeding disorders community, featuring regular news, interviews and informed debates. It is brought to listeners by the National Hemophilia Foundation in the US and is hosted by Patrick James Lynch, Co-founder and CEO of Believe Limited; the digital content agency that produces the podcast. Patrick also lives with severe Haemophilia A.
I first met Patrick at the World Federation of Hemophilia Congress last summer in Orlando, but was already an admirer of his advocacy work – so when he asked me to appear on his podcast I was, of course, absolutely thrilled. He was really interested to hear about my personal experience, along with what is happening in the Haemophilia community in the UK and across Europe.
Listen to the podcast Ep. 16: September 18, 2017 – w/ Andy Slavitt in which I’m introduced at 13:30. Alternatively, read what I have to say under ‘Bloodstream: The Endeavour to Progress’, which includes discussion on personalised care, treatment evolution and the disparity between patients in their ability to access safe and sustainable clotting factor products, services and care.
It was great to be given this opportunity to share my thoughts with the Bloodstream audience, so many thanks to Patrick and the team for the invitation. I think Bloodstream is a really valuable resource for everybody connected with our community and I hope you will take the time to check it out.
Enjoy the episode!
Take care,
Laurence
